Happy learning? I did my Master’s Thesis on medieval Islamic philosophy. Under the Taliban, abortion was legal, and immigrants didn’t get put in concentration camps. There are much, much worse things about the Evangelical movement than a vague and passing similarity to the Taliban.
Ah yes, the classic ‘Taliban had one semi-progressive policy once, so they’re not that bad’ argument. Right before banning women from school and stoning folks. But sure, tell us more about how they're less problematic than evangelicals while we call the Ethics Department. Bold strategy!
Is this what you wanted? To argue about the Taliban? Maybe take a look around - there are more important things to argue about. I grew up with Evangelicals; they are destroying this country. And all anybody can seem to say is “they’re kinda like Afghani theocrats.” This is not a time for dumb puns.
I grew up Pentecostal. I know for a fact that they are destroying this country. I'm not arguing. I'm stating that religious extremism in any form is all the same and unacceptable. FULL STOP. It's harmful to the true piety of the religions they hijack and kamikaze into an unwitting populace.

Why do you claim expertise on the Taliban policies and views because of a relatively non-specialist diploma on a medieval theme, when the Taliban exist only since the 80s? Also when your subject of study was centered on an area what? 3000km away from it? In another cultural area?
