The BBC was never a haven for anyone, especially queer folk. It tolerated those it could use. And it is actively transphobic and homophobic currently so fuck your lies.

Name me one way the BBC was terrible to queer people before 2021. “Doctor Who” was one of the most egalitarian shows on TV for a while there.
