The season finale of Severance should have been the series finale. It's the perfect way to end the show. Feel like there's no way whatever the actual end turns out to be could top the last few minutes of this ep as a series wrap. I don't even get where the story goes tbh.
Inne Mark can never leave Lumon, and they have no further use for him.
Feels a lot like Twin Peaks. And its funny when you consider that David Lynch didn’t even want to solve the murder mystery and was forced to.
We'll get a prequel and a one-season-per-backstory in some order. This is how you milk a franchise now.

Story has been written from the start to span four seasons. I don’t know where the story goes but they do.
Backstories. Then the series will end when Mark and Helena/Helly are both reintegrated and ride off together into the sunset. Main problem will be how to get rid of Gretchen. She probably really will die this time.
