Maybe he doesn't have any good veins in his arms. Pills don't always work & he's probably getting more than just diurectics.

If he were past pills working he would not be able to walk to the helicopter to go golfing. Or golf for that long. More than likely it's bloodwork.

The bruising could be from IVs also it's over his radial artery where they draw for ABGs
