I am going to see if I can find an article that was probably the most intriguing and plausible reason why Republicans ignore that issue even in states where it’s popular for gun control. If I find it, please read it and tell me what you think.

would have loved to have read the articles but will not be subscribing to either The Times or The Atlantic for any reason..anyway, whatever the reason is, repubs do not do anything that "the people" want, gun control being just one of many areas
