I would have loved to have it as a double episode. Don’t need another cliff hanger, but a double set. It felt rushed and could have used more space to feel the dilemma. A lot of criticism I’m seeing feels like it could have been alleviated with more development.
I do agree about the fast resolution of the threat. I think it’s a problem with making the series episodic. There’s no time to properly build things up and deal with the problem. You can’t have an “ancient evil from the dawn of time that threatens all of creation” and then pfft it away in a minute.
