LA was ruled a violation of Posse Commitatus... Subsequent orders to deploy under these conditions should be refused. When do they start refusing illegal orders? They're just supposed to keep doing it until they open fire on a protester or they stand by as ICE etc. violate the law and human rights?
NG troops have the same duty as regular troops under article 92 UCMJ to disobey unlawful orders. “Just following orders” is not a valid defense for violating the rights of civilians. This administration is incrementally moving toward martial law ahead of next year’s midterms.
