Unsolicited writing advice, no. 1276512: Try to get out at least once a day. Walk round the block. See a park. Touch grass. Not only will your body thank you for it, but your mind will continue to process what you were working on, and may come up with a solution or an idea you weren't expecting.

And if you do come up with a great idea or a funny line, make a note there and then! 'I'll write that down in a minute' is no help, at least in my experience...

I make a point of stepping out the front door daily. Even if my only purpose is to return enough empty beer cans so I can buy a new full one and my body hates me on the way home... Been doing it 18 years now. Why stop now, eh?
