They bail out those farmers every year. This corruption didn’t just start. It’s baked in. How do you think they became big farms? It wasn’t from hard work. Trust me, I saw the boom in rural Ohio. 1/4 of my classmates came from small farms. And their families owned all the land surrounding town.
You are correct. I brought it up because this year in particular farms are now short labor directly due to trumps current actions, crops are going unpicked, rotting, and contributing to higher food costs. Trump is already planning on bailing them out but will do mother for the consumer.
They’ll find the labor or downsize their ops. We can’t keep bailing them out year after year while they rely on: -subsidies -subminimal wages -denying work visas -putting immigrants in danger by cooperating with ICE or not being secure enough to keep their workers safe to operate. #WeFeedYou

I agree, we cannot/should not keep bailing them out. And no agriculture should not be allowed to treat labor the way they historically have.
