They can’t lie in court. The lawyer was nice enough to keep talking. Once he asked for the supervisor to come he didn’t need to say another word. You don’t have to speak to the police. And if you’re unjustly arrested then it’s a real nice lawsuit.

Cops can absolutely lie in court, and they do it all the time. There are just no repercussions for them if they do. Are the supposed to lie in court? Of course not. Do cops lie and conspire to help lazy prosecutors put away innocent people or coerce them into plea deals? All the fucking time!
