And I haven't had Starbucks in nearly ten years. I don't drink coffee, but used to get iced tea. Boycott!

Thankfully Ottawa has, not one, but TWO!, local coffee chains with ethically sourced coffee (and killer iced tea): Bridgehead, and Happy Goat. I highly recommend them. If ever you’re up here, check them out. Starbucks, Schmarbucks! Feh!
We’ve got Tim Horton’s all over the place here in Michigan. I know it’s a chain and probably not locally sourced but it’s no starbucks and it’s damn good coffee
And started by a Canadian hockey player.
OMG, I just stopped at Safeway and got a cold brew today using an old gift card I rec'd from my former employer. It was hot out, and it was wet, so there's that... but thanks for the info. I'll give the balance left to the gal next time I'm in there.
I can't afford star $$$s. I buy unsweetened tea at the grocery store.
and so do i.
I like gold leaf unsweetened....Thanks Matt, for all your insights and knowledge...for those of us that still have hope and a belief we will overcome this. Onward.
Never did Starburst and never will. They’re overpriced and their coffee is bitter.
*Starbucks*
Thanks... Boycott is a wonderful tool... I think people should Boyycott media that carries the unadulterated images of the NAZI in Chief, you can blur the image give it that Hitler 'stache, use a body double cartoon.. lots of ways to stop feeding the propaganda beast bsky.app/profile/ogre...
I'm a coffee addict, but have not had Starbucks for 20 yrs. Patrinize only the small local coffee chains or occasionally Tim Hortons.
If they pay the CEO a living wage, they can pay their other workers and living wage too. They earn the money, and he can't possibly deserve that much. He probably wouldn't last a day as a barista.
It's just not good coffee, anyway.
#BoycottStarbucks Their coffee sucks anyway and is damned expensive.
And their coffee has gotten worse. He used to be fairly strong, but now it’s like dish water.
BUT, if you already have a gift card, use every penny of it!
It is completely absurd that a publicly held company is allowed to pay executives and board members such outrageous amounts. The first premise of publicly held firms is to do what is best for the shareholders and giving away that much from their bottom line runs contrary to this practice.
There are better things to spend my money on...like groceries!
I LOVE coffee, but Starbuck's practices make theirs taste bad.
I have never had anything Starbuck’s sells.
I stopped going to Starbucks after they dropped their most popular coffee, which I liked, French Roast. Made no sense. If I were on that board, I’d fire his ass.
Something to try. Constant comment tea 50% regular tea 50% a little bit of Splenda and I swear it's the best iced tea you've ever had.
I love coffee, but hate theirs so they won't notice my absence. I shared your post.
To add a bit more to that order of coffee, the cup, lid, and heat sleeve cost more than the coffee. A bit more perspective, one cup of black coffee actually costs about 15 to 25 cents.
In the early days of Starbucks gaining popularity I was a customer. As I learned more about the company and how they treated their employees, coupled with the steady price hikes, I turned to making my own drinks at home. I get to choose my beans and I like thr espresso better. No regrets.
I will say that Starbucks pays for their employees to attend in state college. Not too many businesses do that.
This is why our national minimum wage must be raised to $25.00 an hour. Corporations will never do what is right, they are there to make money by any means possible. Even when it means killing their own customers. They will never give people what they need to survive, let alone what they are worth.
I won't go there or buy any of their products. This is not new for them, all while trying to market themselves as pro-worker. For the stores that voted to unionize, it is worse.
I drink my coffee at home… saves money AND doesn’t add money to the CEOs pocket. I feel bad for those who work there 🫤
100%.
