As his career went on, he became more political and candid about his opinions and feelings about the situation wherever he was. His narrative prose was iconic. His career did more for popular intercultural understanding than the entire field of Anthropology did in 100 years

My favorite episodes are always the ones set in the USA. It gave me a better understanding of how people who share the same passport as me live. I also wouldn't have gotten into The Kills if not for one of those eps
