I agree. I’ve always spun my quirks in a positive way. I can hyper-focus, which helps so much. I learn languages quickly (3 & counting), I can write an entire tv pilot in a weekend, I can stop bad habits by switching focus & disassociating from withdrawals. I’m super goal-oriented.
I do tend to neglect friendships, though. My brain gets very noisy sometimes, especially if routine is broken or someone interrupts me & I tend to neglect stuff (even if it’s important) that’s not in my direct line of sight.
