What sorcery is this?!
LOL. Unheard of, right?!
Took me a while to realise it was a bottle holder, but this is Germany, so of course it is.
Bonus feature: you can actually understand what theyβre saying over the loudspeakers.
Some things remain very German, though. I tried to pay with Apple Pay at the bar and he looked at me and asked if I had cash ππ©πͺπΆ
How long is your VerspΓ€tung?
Only 7 Minuten, so nicht zu schlimmβ¦!
Well this is very German!
VERY π
AND the WiFi works.
Amazing!
New ICE. Not been on one like this before!
Iβve only ever been on S Bahn. I need to try the ICE trains. Enjoy!
Theyβre great. Book in advance, get a Sparpreis first class ticket. Perfect. And thanks!
I hope the catering is good. First class in the uk is underwhelming. Itβs decent on Eurostar and renfe though. And this product looks excellent. Sparpreis all the way!
It looks really good. Several hot and cold dishes available even for a plant-botherer like me. And thereβs a restaurant car with at-seat service.
I love a restaurant car. Only ever done that once on a train to wales. Youβre being spoilt now. Donβt get used to it!
Iβm going to try not to!
CrossCountry wifi what even is the point?
No WiFi on East Midlands Trains or Eurostar today. Deutsche Bahn, on the other hand, have it sorted.
I try not to think about life in Social Democracies too much nowadays...
Wise.
It will never happen in our automobile driven society. People are getting excited for the 160mph train in the NE corridor coming on line next year, but China has had 300kph+ for over 10 years.
More to the point all of those things arenβt jammed up with chewing gum and vomit-inducingly dirty!
It is incredibly clean. Really spotless.
Our trains (talking about my UK side) need to start looking and functioning like trains and not buses on rail. We can't even have the line electrified between London and Sheffield!
Honestly, itβs so many worlds away. I was also thinking about the awful Birmingham trains in comparison - horrible little things.
