I mean, if you want a pretty decent job with some awesome long-term prospects once you leave office plus an excellent pension and insurance if you stay long enough, run for Congress. Use this kind of message. It'll destroy incumbents. Even if you lose, it still opens doors.

People insist that UBI would make everyone quit their jobs while we have turned the entire government into a senior enrichment center so our elderly reps who should've retired by now can feel productive.
Because there is no such thing as "enough." Never enough power, never enough money.
It's not enough for them to have all the money. They want to be seen as Very Important Government People that are deserving of respect for the rest of their lives. Retiring means that they're forgotten and dismissed by the public, and that's their biggest fear.
They detest the job but they love the position.
