What you went through at a young age was abhorrent. But I think you're taking the steps that are best for you, man. Hell, I'm still trying my best to forgive what mistakes I feel I made as a teen, and I'm in my mid-30s. It can be a tough journey, but an important one. Stay strong and love yourself.
