π½οΈ Currently watching SUNSHINE (2007, Danny Boyle). Confused how I've never seen this before. I love space sci-fi, it's Danny Boyle, and the cast is s t a c k e d. It snuck past me somehow. π

First two thirds is great but somehow the tone changes for the last couple of acts - it's like the last third is from a different, less thoughtful film.

Some of this movie feels like a home for ideas grown when he was being courted for the fourth ALIEN. Agree that itβs a wonky mix but I love 2/3 of this film.

Great movie! Back in the Netflix days I accidentally got this other one when thinking I was getting the sci fi Sunshine. Still a good film, but did not fit the vibe I was looking for lol letterboxd.com/film/sunshine/
