Yes and the part that made it fairer were the social policies, or ‘socialism’ which is different to communism. ‘Communism’ isn’t even in it. All this bs fear about China too - which *is* communist, but not a dictatorship. If the US wants a regime to fear they should look closer at Putin’s Russia.
