I think the traditional Dems are just shell-shocked at the Repubs vicious attack on our Democracy. The Dems are totally unprepared to deal with the new political climate.

Shell shocked at something that’s been being worked toward for 8+ years, got it

8+ years is a wild lowball even if it’s technically correct. 2+ decades would closer and even then still arguably short of the mark

I beg... please do not every use the term "shell-shocked," which relates to a very specific form of complex PTSD experienced by people who survive wars and explosive terror. The Dems are neither shell-shocked nor surprised. Please just pay attention to them.

I disagree strongly with this take. It might have been valid when Tea Party came in 2010. But Jan 6 removed any doubts about intentions. We elected Biden admin to deal with it and it across-the-aisled itself into abject failure to do so.

We won't have a chance, anyway. The choice has been taken away. GOP is at fault. But (most) Democratic leaders have failed to lead and this is where it got us.

I’m involved in a discussion about the use of language and how Democratic insiders’ utterly failed use of language to adequately define and attack open racism and fascism, made their attacks useless. The GOP attacked the nation. And we lost to them? And DEMS still have the same leaders? What?

A prime example is Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables”. What does that mean? Morons with guns who don’t care how many schools get shot up. Racist fucks? Brainwashing groomers, getting tax free money, raping kids across the country? “Basket of deplorables.” Really defined the issues?

It’s the best example of the inability of our leadership to call the GOP what they are. Her chicken shit language is the chicken shit “tested” language of the corporations that own the DNC. I don’t give a fuck that Hillary is a woman, I don’t care that Obama is black. I care that they failed us.

DC Dem operating procedure. Conservatives tell us in explicit detail over and over what they plan to do but unless it’s a bill up for a vote DC Dems are like “huh?” “what?” and then they count votes and decide it’s not worth fighting over or getting distracted by.

But the Dems in Bush 2 had the same feckless reaction to Cheney and Rumsfeld. Sternly worded letters about how suspending Habeas Corpus is a breach of decorum. The Patriot Act, the illegal war...Dem leaders are losers. We need bar fight ringers.
