The counter-argument being that the manufacturer does not claim that its product has the intelligence of a PhD and will end the need for humans in many professions. I'm not against AI per se but I do fear that developers over-promising is half the problem

Oh I didn't mean developers in IT-terms but developers as in the companies behind these AI models. I agree that the developers themselves are not at fault here, they're just working
