I myself am a gun owner. I would surrender it immediately if it meant that nobody else’s child had to die. The worst irony is that the very thing that the 2nd Amendment was meant to prevent is the exact thing that Trump is doing right now.

BTW, as an American, I gave up hope for sane gun laws here when Sandy Hook happened and we did nothing. If those dead children didn’t move our politicians, there’s no chance. Maybe when the Active Shooter Drill generation is the majority in Congress, maybe then we’ll get there. But not in my life.

UK gun laws strictly control firearm ownership, which is treated as a privilege, not a right. To possess a firearm or shotgun, you must hold a police-issued firearms certificate or shotgun certificate & have a "good reason" for ownership, such as sport shooting, hunting, or occupational use.

I lived in QC which has a strong hunting tradition and laws there were quite strict and they enjoyed broad public support. I live in a source state for guns smuggled to Canada and have been working on, supporting laws to make that tougher to do. ❤️ CANADA

The UK doesn’t protect the right of a citizen to keep and bear arms. Also, the UK rushing headlong into Sharia law which is probably unrelated, but is not DEFINITIVELY unrelated. Though a little girl in Scotland WAS arrested for defending her sister from a military grant, so isn’t that nice?
