We need one community centre to get the subscription and the whole community show up to watch. That would be better. Like bars buy a subscription and patrons watch.

I've been disappointed at how many games with big teams aren't available because they are on one of their cable channels so blacked out on Peacock. I'm not sure I'll renew this "season"

Hot tip Get an HDTV antenna if you don’t already have one then check out the Univision listings. A decent number of matches that are blacked out on Peacock are FOTA in Spanish. It’s not everything but it’s some pretty decent matches.

Appreciate the thought, but unfortunately my 1800s house is in a rural area and full of lathe and plaster. It's got a lot of charm to offset the woeful OTA reception. Hopefully this idea will help others.

You’re also not sitting in a bar for hours and ordering nothing. I mean you could but that’s not great for people who make their living off tips and get up at 5 am to serve you. The streaming service is way cheaper than the bar.

When I did go to Chelsea bars for these games, our group was always generous. I mean, we got it. But, you are absolutely right. We were paying for the camaraderie. Peacock is cheaper.

There was a Nextdoor post on cable prices going up and asking what service(s) people use and pay for their tv and home internet. There was such a big divide. Lots that kept both under 100 for the house. And then there was this other big group that paid 350-450 / month for cable tv.

The content on Peacock is mediocre compared to its peers and we are being held hostage for EPL coverage.

Also offers from cell phone providers can happen. T-Mobile gave free MLS and MLB for a year. Check credit card offers/perks too. Access to sports is horrendously fractured. Its why I stopped watching Women's soccer. You need 5 services to see all the matches. Good luck. :)

yeah it truly sucks and i think also represents short-term thinking by these leagues, especially the ones still trying to establish themselves like MLS and NWSL. they get guaranteed subscriber dollars but at the expense of growing their market and tapping new demographics

I think it's overpriced at $7.99, even (esp. now that it dropped "Murder, She Wrote"*). Man, it has a LOT of ads. My subscription auto-renews in November -- I need to note on my calendar to unsubscribe. *I am old.
