Also, not to defend Jeffries, but when the session started in January Johnson had the GOP pass a Rules package that handcuffed the Dems even more. House Dems can't do much in the House but they should be (1) bluntly naming what is happening (some are) and (2) figuring out of the box ways to fight.
I agree with your two points but people are tired of Jeffries and Schumer apologists. Whatever the reason they can’t do anything,why should we care since they are doing nothing . Mamdani isn’t even in the federal govt. and they seem happier undermining him than Trump.

Jeffries hasn't endorsed anybody. Cuomo is working hard to undermine Mamdani. Jeffries' opinion wouldn't be relevant if Cuomo and Adams weren't tone deaf egomaniacs.
The fact that Jeffries, the Dem leader in the house, hasn't endorsed Mamdani, the overwhelming Dem nomination for NYC mayor by trouncing Cuomo, is exactly why so many people stopped caring about HJ. We're in a national political crisis but free buses is communism...

In my opinion, endorsing would make a statement that he and other Dems "staying out of it" are sick of people like Adams and Cuomo being in politics. And endorse the candidate who is the Dem running and is nothing morally like DJT.
