In Australia you can only have 1 primary home for tax purposes.

Sorta, kinda. There is six-year rule, where you can get a principle residence exception after you leave your primary home and rent it out before selling it. I can remember when tax was simple and income tax law was a single volume! www.listonnewton.com.au/information-...
