Well I would add “on everything.“ Most have enough time to do research on one or two things.

Research takes training, not just time. I have a masters degree and there are about 1.5 things I have the training to do research on. Reading isn’t research, you need to be able to evaluate sources and know the state of the field generally. Reading is still very good!👍

So you do have the intellectual resources to do research on 1 or 2 things but not “on everything” which was my minor but non-trivial suggestion.

This is what people always fail to comprehend. Research isn't just googling stuff or even googling stuff and only reading the reputable sources. Research goes WAY beyond that. IF you know what reputable sources are (NOT WIKIPEDIA) you can get SOME GOOD INFORMATION. You didn't research anything.
