Wtf
Wtf
😳
I mixed up except and accept once in the bedroom. I thought she said I can accept that...😁 She actually said everything except that.😭
you have to bring an attorney into the bedroom
😂 litigation situation
💯💯 Creative writing is a GREAT skill to have!! Avoid those tricky words altogether.
Affect: verb. Effect: noun. Lie: intransitive - done one's self. "I lie down." Lay: transitive - done to something (but confusingly also the simple past of lie). "I lay my phone on the table when I eat." "I lay down last night." Grammar Police strike again! You're welcome.
"Affect" can also be a noun, but only in a psychological sense: "The patient's affect was flat."
I often have to think to myself "sound effect" to remember which one to use.
🤣😂
All joking/puns aside, that a PhD holder does not know the difference is perhaps one of the greatest condemnations of our educational system. Pretty pathetic.
Reading and writing comprehension is not for the weak!!
The professor's effect with words will affect grammarians for years.
It's pretty simple. Affect = fucking around Effect= finding out.
Me with lay and lie
That's funny as f***! That being said, the things that puzzle you most are the very things worth conquering. I believe I'll be working on 'who vs whom' until the day I die. Not a difficult rule if writing, but my brain can't diagram a sentence in my head fast enough to use the rule while speaking.
This really affected me. Prove me wrong.
What was the effect then?
A flat affect.
The effect was that maga I tripped on the escalator.
affect is a verb, effect is a noun
The effects trump is causing affects everyone.
Affect: this causes something to happen to something Effect: the thing that happened (think special effects) If I light a rocket on fire, that affects the rocket and the later effect is that it explodes. Affect affects "a"n object. Effect is the "e"ventual result.
😂😂😂 one’s a mood the other’s dominoes
So intent/outcome.
Well, that’s poor advice. Both are highly useful words. One’s usually a noun, the other usually a verb. My 11th graders got it without much problem. They had a harder time with there, they’re, and their.
Love this professor. Like me teaching grammar to former students. I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ honey that’s just the way it is! 🤣🙄
Affect is a verb Effect is a noun Affleck is an actor
That's true wisdom. He earned that PhD.
🤣
That that that that that that.
Many of us look it up each and every time. Lay and lie is another tricky one. 😂
One is a caused by an effect and the other is affected by it.
Like the letter sent to the zoo requesting two rhinoceroses but was having trouble with that word.... Please send a pair of rhincerosheshs Please send a pair of rhinocersrous Feck it, please send a rhino.... on second thoughts make it two.
Lol
