Danny Manning was a few years later and would've been an absolute star had they known how to fix ACLs. I will go to my grave thinking we were robbed of seeing an all time great.

Manning was the next-to-last guy, he blew his ACL in 1989 and Dawkins went down in 1990

Yeah, I have two buddies—one who ripped up his knee in 1991 and one who did it in 1996. The 1996 guy’s knee has a couple little scars. The 1991 guy’s knee looks like somebody was practicing the makeup for The Hills Have Eyes.

Like given that top 15, even knowing he would retire at 29, you probably take him no lower than 2 (depending on where you stand on him vs Harper)
