Yesterday, 53, I peeled and chopped a whole bag of carrots for the stew, and when done, threw the whole lot straight into the compost bin.

Did something similar making a stock from prawn shells. Once it was ready, I tipped the whole lot in to the colendar, which was in the sink.

We provide vegetable scraps to the wild rabbits in our yard. When I make a salad, I make a second "rabbit salad" with the scrapings. I cannot tell you the number of times I have accidentally added scrapings meant for the rabbits to the human salad and had to pick them all out again.
