The only thing they need to do for Buy Canada policy is count how much money comes back to the government through taxes as a credit compared to going with outside bids. As for the ferry bid, choosing a Chinese company when we have a trade war with them is just dumb, even with it being the lowest bid

I'm aware, Canadian shipyards are busy for years with the federal shipbuilding program. It is a general comment about a Buy Canada approach & counting tax dollars coming back when considering who to award a winning bid. Promotes foreign companies doing some work in Canada to try to win a bid.
