I live on the border and couldn’t have imagined a time when Canadians our closest friends would be rightfully afraid of our border officers. I too am afraid to leave the country for fear that when returning they could have it out for Jewish surnames. This isn’t hyperbole, they are acting as Nazi’s.

Native californian here and I grew up in a time where all you needed to do to cross the border into mexico was either walk over or drive over with an in person stop at the border crossing. 2009 & WHTI changed that. Our border neighbors, please know the majority of us hate what's going on☮️

I used to live in the Yukon. We used to drive to Alaska and if it was after 4 pm the border office was closed. You could enter but had to be back to check in by 8 am.

Kind of weird All the things that have changed. And while it might seem like a long time to younger people, fifty years is a drop in the bucket when it comes to history & to people who are still alive. I'm certainly glad I got to go everywhere I ever wanted to because i'm not traveling anymore.😿✌️

I agree. "ICE" is using unmarked cars and breaking into houses and smashing in car windows to get people. They're also arresting and detaining American citizens without due process. It's not safe here. Even though there are pockets where this is not happening, it's still not safe here. Avoid the US.
