I can’t pinpoint what it is. Are people like Schumer and Booker so surrounded by the donor class that they really think voters want more of the same or do they truly know but ignore it

My guess is the first thing. Also a lot of money from AIPAC etc. has had an effect surely. Did you know the AIPAC-receiving pols all have their own handler assigned to them checking in on a regular basis? To make sure they're all good & voting properly. How is that not illegal?
