Correct. So, if the VP takes a bribe and gets impeached, it doesn't mean the President goes too.

The US is not a signatory to the ICC, the body which indicted Putin.

It applies only to the individual impeached and convicted, not automatically to all civil officers or the vice president unless they are separately implicated and convicted.
Each has to be impeached.
