Etsy is just a collection of small business vendors like Ebay. Maybe speak to the vendor concerned or just report them to Etsy. Lion has no issue with Etsy per se and buys all sorts of stuff through them.

Etsy ARE very attentive with reports and negative reviews about vendors on their system. Lion dealt with a vendor in Mexico that tried to scam him. After a report, lion got an instant refund and the vendor was gone, literally within minutes. Etsy also followed up too via email.

Etsy is owned by BlackRock who also invests in the concentration camp. Instead of reporting Nazis Contact the good vendors directly and circumvent Etsy.

If you want to help small creators wo supporting Etsy: Check if the Creator has a website. Order stuff from there. If not: Use the chat function of Etsy, explain the situation, exchange info, buy via a cash app of ur choice and done. you can teach Etsy a lesson and still support small creators.

We try to boycott Amazon. Paid well above Amazon price for something online the other day & it came directly from Amazon anyway. Some enterprising character clearly has a nice little scam going: offer goods (at marked up price), order goods from Amazon on the customer's behalf & pocket the profit.

For many independent crafters and sellers Etsy is their only website. It literally exists so that people don't have to build the maintain their own websites as well as the sales transaction side. Not everyone is that tech capable.

This would be the time to start diversifying: making a wordpress site is easier than ever. There must be comparable sites. Insisting to keep depending on a blackrock-owned platform is making yourself a slave to blackrocks whims.

By definition, companies don’t have a moral compass or emotional intelligence. They aren’t human. They are there to execute the will of their founders/owners/directors/shareholders. They only have whatever morals and empathy their owners decide is good for business. That’s why regulation is needed.
