Joining the military is voluntary, selecting missions are not. I would guess a large majority of NG (unlike ICE who are either MAGA or in it for the money) oppose the mission and interpret it as narrowly as possible, including upper ranks. And we sure do NOT want them going AWOL, leaving only ICE.

An order and a mission are distinguishable. I am not referring to following unconstitutional orders, that’s a different issue which you undoubtedly know I meant from your participation on the other thread, same topic.

I would much rather trust our armed services. This admin will always push the envelope, “unconstitutional” has lost its meaning when not enforced. I pray our men and women uphold their oath.

Agreed, and I certainly want the ones who will uphold their oath to stay put and not leave us with only MAGA loyalists in the military and a rogue police force, ICE, loaded with MAGA loyalists and too many other people looking for a quick buck.

I think many are for that exact reason. I think it is also wise to best prepare for the worst case scenario.
