What’s especially sad about this case is that NDOT is neither proactive OR reactive here. We have dozens of intersections that need more attention than this. I can understand 3rd not being addressed before Dot Dobbins’ crash. I’m more concerned that a fatality did not give NDOT pause

We can put in a flashing beacon and pat ourselves on the back, but if we’re serious about saving lives, we have to actually put safety FIRST. Here, a fellow Nashvillian was killed trying to cross the street and we actively made it less safe

If NDOT isn’t adaptable enough to say, “look, there was a fatality here. Let’s revisit our plans for this street before we building anything new,” then what even is the point of Vision Zero?
