H.L. Mencken referred to them as, "the bewildered herd." They're easily manipulated because they don't understand what's going on. They also seem to be highly emotional and easily triggered.

I wrote a thing called "Pap Factor" In it, it describes how families in red areas are controlled by the least educated person in family, Pap. Pap lives on fear via a very narrow world view, & passes it down the family tree. Unfortunately, pap has ⬆️ credibility and is the truth for 3+ generations!🤦🏼
