I don't know the extent of which fascism is taught in America. I have noticed that many don't understand it, they don't understand government types and ideologies in general. The information is out there for anyone who wants to learn it, but precious few do. Sadly, ignorance can be just as dangerous

American education can greatly differ depending on geography. And as you can imagine, this means some schools dont actually teach about fascism past "Nazis were the bad guys in WW2"

We are usually taught that fascism=nazism, that there are no other strains of it, and that it died many years ago. There is little teaching in primary schooling about the details of it, which is why the History Channel, a cable network, spent 30 years making specials about how many nazis were

fascinated by and/or practice occult beliefs. Because none of fascism's batshit insane beliefs are taught in mandatory schooling, they saw a market opportunity.
