Unusual bleeding and bruising is a common side effect. The hat could also be covering up that he finally sprouted devil horns but Occam’s razor suggests the first explanation is more likely.

I think we misunderstand each other. Aspirin therapy thins the blood and can exasperate the bleeding of existing wounds. One reason hemophiliacs can’t use it. The way I read your post is that aspirin therapy CAUSES wounds. I’ve never heard that.
