really heartbroken to leave NYC, but i am looking forward to getting to know the state—grew up in the midwest but only got to know Missouri (basically the whole state) and Southern Illinois. this feels right!

I have friends there, and quite a bit of my family came from there, so I have a high opinion of the place and the people. It is a pretty special state.
