Corruption or gross incompetence by the LNP and ALP take your pick or pick both. They clearly aren’t working for the average Australians.

But…but they “give” some people jobs !!!
Stop locking 10 year old Aboriginal children up in police cells & then the world might have sympathy.
Big gas is taking the piss and Australian governments are letting them. It has to stop. ✍️ Add your name and sign our petition: nb.australiainstitute.org.au/fix_gas_expo...
I don't understand why this isn't cause for mass protests in the streets.
While the Persian Gulf nation is forecast to rake in as much as $26.6 billion in fiscal 2020 from taxes on the fuel, Australia is set to reap a paltry $800 million, according to analysis by the Tax Justice Network's Australian office.
i've never understood why resource companies can just dig stuff up and sell it. That "stuff" belongs to the land, to the people (or at the very least to the fkn crown as a kind of representative of the people). Why is it you can "stake a claim" and *own the stuff*? Pay the people for what you take!!
It's a resource that belongs to the First Nations Peoples, who mostly live in third world poverty
Who are the donors to The Australia Institute?
australiainstitute.org.au/about/
Again who are those philanthropic donors. What connections do they have and what is their agenda.
In this case, I think the agenda is for us Aussies to obtain a reasonable return for the gas these companies are mining. Instead of us giving it away for peanuts
Not disputed. But I quite reasonably am reluctant to take the advice at face value of a group reticent to disclose its donors?
Thank goodness we here in Australia are at least attempting to address the issue of corrupt money perverting the public good. As lobbyists go, I am off the opinion that these guys are reasonably fair dinkum in their objectives 👍🏼
Oz Institute Donors? A healthy question, one that editors/ journo’s should ask of EVERY think tank. Centre for Independent Studies CIS, Institute of Public Affairs IPA have hid their donors away from a widely incurious/uncurious MSM. Cormack Foundation donated $500,000 to Advance Australia. Source?
The companies are private with the deepest pockets that can buy oppositions. All previous attempts to change royalties resulted in a change of government to one that acquiesced. You push this trope to destabilise and get your Liberal Lite independents in position to do nothing.
