If they said it was for students in K-8, that would be a stronger argument. Teenagers are generally expected to know that sex exists, to the point where it shouldn't be inappropriate to read The Handmaid's Tale.
I wouldn't be too concerned. Any book can be found on the Internet if they want to read it.
Absolutely. I agree. It's only the time to get concerned after censorship makes something completely inaccessible. There's no reason to think it'll be too late at that point.
