I live in NE Massachusetts. We close 3/4 of each beach all summer for the plovers. They’ve made huge strides since we left them alone.

Those of us who dive there call it the pinnapocalypse- this is the 2nd year they’ve taken over the entire beach. There are plenty of other dive sites, but none that have as much parking and can handle the volume of classes that go on at the breakwater
