Blue States should all combine, take over taxation collections, cease sending funds to federal government & secede, leave the federal debt apportioned to administrations that generated them. Watch the red states become a third world, no 4th world country!

The only issue is people like the severely disabled or elderly. Their states won't protect them, but they are unable to move or even understand usually. We as a country need to force these deep red states to do better by them with federal laws protecting them.

Yeah! Let's help in dividing the nation and play games with people's lives like the GQP does! After all, it's not like there's actually a majority of non Republicans living there who are dealing with horrific voter suppression so a tiny but vocal minority and try to divide the nation. 🙄🤦‍♂️

Blue states should begin tax credits to ppl for what the GOP has taken; healthcare, vaccines, food, FEMA, education, research etc. states can create a credit to prop up individual spending, improve their life & save their state economy. A fuck off to the GOP big death bill!

It’s easy to be independent when someone else is paying your bills. Let them start paying their own way and see how carefree they are.

Just asking for a friend, So Congress shouldn’t have the purse-strings? States should? And how exactly do you people propose to not pay federal income tax? It’s not like it goes to the states first… 🤷‍♂️

The POTUS asserts that “emergency” powers permit him to levy taxation without representation. Although we’ve previously cared about that, the Supreme Court may do its thing and decide that it doesn’t matter. It that’s the case, fine, my governor should declare a emergency and keep our $ here.

Each state sends money to the federal government Government then sends money back to the states Blue states send more money to the Feds then the Feds send back Red states send less money but get more back from the Feds Blue States hold on to their money & don’t send it - Red states suffer

BTW - Congress has abdicated their duty to control the purse strings WHY should we just continue on like that is normal? It’s not & We The People agree to organize our States under the umbrella of the Constitution - Not that the Federal Government gives us permission to exist

What money does the state send to the federal government? I know my employer sends my federal income tax. And corporations send their income tax, but the state only sends excise tax, basically tariffs. Excise taxes are on things like fuel, alcohol, cigarettes, cell phones, and automobiles. But +

the vast majority of tax money sent to the federal government from California is income taxes collected by employers and sent directly to the federal government. The governor can’t do anything about that.
