No. Honor the 2nd Amendment. It says "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." We'd be better to follow other countries and require service that teaches proper use, & the "well regulated" part.
If gun owners all belonged to a well regulated militia we would have a lot less shootings. The 2nd Amendment should be followed as written.
Don't get me wrong: NRA and these other yahoos are dead wrong. The founders didn't need common sense gun laws. They had common sense. We do not, and there are ways to go about all of it properly.
The founders also didn't have weapons that could fire dozens of bullets in minutes
If they did, they would have used them to protect the children.
If they did, they wouldn’t have written such a broad 2nd amendment.
The NATIONAL GUARD is what became of the well regulated militia. Militias are not only NOT needed now, they are ILLEGAL in all 50 states. So yes it’s time to get rid of the 2A.
