does anyone have recommendations for “loose comfortable clothing that opens down the front or back”? i don’t think i’ve ever had a top that was both comfortable and opened down the front or back. to me this just means “hospital gown” which, imo, the hospital should provide, not ask me to bring with.
An oversized button front shirt?
I think this must be what they mean, but I guess where I run up against a wall is, I don’t own any of those! (Except my dad’s old ones and I don’t wear those for reasons and also they are not oversized on me 🙃) Maybe I can find some online and rush them…
It is annoying when people assume things like this “just wear a white shirt and black pants” “just wear something that buttons up the front” I have ONE button front shirt that is sufficiently large that it doesn’t have boob gap problems. (I have one other that i like anyway)
I don’t think I’ve ever found a “professional” looking button front shirt that really fit. Even when I was in middle school I remember having to put safety pins inside between the buttons!
For my hospital stay I came home in a light tank top. Button down shirts were recommended and I brought one but never wore it because I find hoodies cozier.

Meant to say light weight hoodie - forgot that I got bandage from the hospital and switched to a tank top. Don’t know if a hoodie would work where you are, my surgery was in January, but a zip hoodie worked for me
I lived in caftans from this Etsy shop through all my heart drama, they have various styles but this one worked best for me: www.etsy.com/listing/1007.... The ultra light cotton was really nice because my mom took the grungy ones home to wash every night and they air-dried by morning.
my (metaphorical) sickness is that i looked at this and immediately started contemplating my fabric stash instead of actually planning an order lol
I have OFTEN thought about sewing more for myself but I will say that the fabric they use is nice and the quality is good, I still wear mine around the house in the summer all these years later
i definitely want to throw money at them, just maybe not now since i need multiple days of something starting tomorrow haha

I had nothing like this when I got a breast reduction because pre-breast reduction I didn’t wear button-down shirts. I just bought a couple of them very cheaply off of Poshmark. But also I wound up wearing shirts that were so loose I could just pull them over my head and put my arms through.
My actual problem was that I felt pretty good pretty quickly and had not fully anticipated comfy recovery clothes that looked fine for brunch.
(everything is fine. i am soliciting advice to help me satisfy this clothing instruction, but not re other things, thank you for you attention to this matter!)
