The question isn't what Putin respects or doesn't. The only question right now is how to end the war and ensure the security of Ukraine and Europe. Russia's security is also important, but it's not a priority.

The way to end the war is to defeat Putin, not negotiate with him. He does not negotiate in good faith. He needs to be crushed militarily.
