So I saw this post appear on my timeline because people were dunking on it for using AI, but... DID it use AI? It appears to be a repost of a facebook post from months ago, and maybe the original poster did make it with AI, but it doesn't look super obvious to me. Am I missing something?

Too many tells for me not to think it's AI, the font, the inconsistent punctuation, the comic book panel look, the slight piss tint, seems like a Boomer lib AI dunk to me
Oh it came from a facebook meme account so it's very much a boomer lib dunk, I just wasn't seeing any obvious AI tells myself. Like you mention the font and punctuation but AI is so bad at test that I assume all that had to be human made even if the rest of the image was AI-
Unless AI has gotten a lot better at generating text without misspellings than I realized. Which I hope not, absurd word mangling in AI is both funny and one of the more obvious tells, I really hope that doesn't go away. :(
unfortunately AI text is no longer garbled, it looks passable now, but it still has trouble with the little details like apostrophes and commas, also kerning is really bad most of the time
at the risk of getting blocked by them, this is what AI text looks like now, most of it is Impact style font like this, but the comic book lettering like the original art you showed is also popular, but look at the kerning the letters and how some of them are kinda melty bsky.app/profile/oddt...

It's the message, not the medium.
It's got the AI "style" (for lack of a better term) I will say there's little things about the leaves that are coming off the body that just don't look intentional to me that's causing me to give it side eye. Like if it is AI it's AI that's gotten closer to looking like a drawing than others
The font is the big giveaway to me, been seeing that exact font in a lot of AI stuff

Like the account that posted this has posted some more obvious AI stuff (IE Trump in a straightjacket) and appear to be just an unmonitored repost account so I wouldn't be surprised if they reposted AI. But the way people in the replies were jumping on this specific image mystifies me.
it might just be because this particular poster seems to do AI slop a lot. There's a handful in the posts there.
