I always thought it was the tree dripping liquid/sap on me due to the sharphooter boring holes. It was actually sharpshooter pee?

Dripping from a tree, it could be from a larger true bug like a planthopper, but yes, it could be bug pee.

Sharpshooters use super-propulsion to fling their pee far, far away. Basically, they use surface tension to increase the force at which the pee is flung. More here: #InverteFest bhamla.gatech.edu/project-blog...
