Given Tesla are third best known for battery technology... that makes it likely they will be buying cheap power from generators (excess solar on sunny days for instance) and selling it to consumers when grid generators are charging more. That's not a supplier, it's a middle man. /2

They would no more be a supplier than a supermarket is a supplier of milk. Also given what the number one thing Tesla are best known for being owned by a really unlikable person, they will find less success in being an Electricity Virtual Operator than if they dumped him
