Statistics, numbers and math is not considered by those who go with their feelings or "common sense" or just know it better. I have the creepy feeling that you just cannot get through their wall, regardless of arguments. They don't even listen.

You are right. Just watch some of Jordan Klepper's interviews with people at Trump's rallies, and you can see that it is impossible to get through to these people. Their need to be right supersedes the need to have facts or proof.
